Ms. Christina

Christina Vasilopoulos

Christina started dancing at the age of four in a baby ballet class. From there, she discovered her passion for dance. After coming to iDance in 2014, she became more invested and fascinated with dance. During the last five years, Christina has competed in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, tap, ballet, musical theatre, and open at iDance. Joining iDance’s competitive team allowed Christina to grow both as a dancer and as a person, by learning discipline, gaining confidence, and forming new relationships with her fellow dancers.

As a member of iDance’s competitive team, Christina has successfully passed her Grade 1, Grade 2, Silver Medal, and Grade 3 CDTA Jazz Exams.

As well as teaching at iDance, during the summer Christina works as a camp counsellor, and has completed her High Five training, is certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C, and has received training in behaviour management.

Christina is currently in high school, and has been on the honour roll for every year that she has attended St. Maximilian Kolbe CHS. She was also on the competitive dance team at her school for the past two years, and she wants to continue dancing on that team (as well as at iDance) until she graduates. On her school dance team, Christina competes multiple times a year and performs during school events.

Christina has a passion for teaching children to dance. She loves watching her students reach their goals, progress and accomplish new things in the dance world. Christina is excited to continue teaching others, and can’t wait for another exciting year of teaching at iDance!
