Jenny Weber CDTA, HBA, FIS, YES, EWTY3500-RYT 200

Jenny has grown up surrounded by dance; she has always been “a mover and a shaker.” After her awaking to dance at the young age of 3, Jenny explored numerous dance disciplines including tap, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, modern, and ballet. She danced competitively for 8 years and began teaching at 14.  In addition to passing her Canadian Dance Teacher’s Association Jazz exams with honors, Jenny earned her Associates Teacher's Jazz Certification by the CDTA in 2000.

Jenny also immersed herself in the dance industry by majoring a Ballet and Modern at Unionville High School’s Arts York Dance program. She performed with UHS’s Dance Access Company, earned credits as a Teacher's Assistant, and was awarded a Dance Scholarship to pursue teaching dance as a career. One of the highlights of Jenny’s dance career was being selected to join the cast of the “Dancer’s For Life Aids Benefit.” The show was held at the Hummingbird Centre (now Sony Centre) and she performed alongside dance legends including the late Gregory Hines, Rex Harrington and Evelyn Hart and worked under the direction of Chorographer Anne-Marie Woods.

Moving to London, Ontario to pursue her Post-Secondary Education at UWO didn’t end Jenny’s exploration of dance. Throughout University, Jenny was a dance instructor at numerous studios, participated in the Annual OHM Dance Fashion show, and was frequently employed by the Board of Education as a Guest Teacher specializing in Dance for the Physical Education program at various elementary and high schools.

Since returning to Toronto, Jenny has focused on her career in Marketing Management. More recently, Jenny has developed a fulfillment with yoga. She has achieved her Yoga Exercise Specialist (YES) Certificate, Kids Yoga Teacher Training (KYTT) Certification, and Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS) with Can Fit Pro in 2009. In June 2010, Jenny graduated from Yoga Teachers Training (EWTY3500-RYT 200) at East to West Yoga in Toronto. She continues to practice all forms of yoga to keep her “zen.”

Together, Jenny and Rhonda attend the Annual Dance Teachers Summit in New York each summer. They take workshops from dance industry leaders including Sheila Barker, Doug Caldwell, Frank Hatchett, and Mandy Moore, while meeting various studio owners from all over the world. Jenny continues to further her dance education by completing dance courses at George Brown earning herself a Dance Certificate. Jenny feels blessed to be a co-owner at iDance and loves sharing her passion for dance and yoga with everyone.
